There is no exact time for the health care vote. However, the Senate voted on July 25 to open the debate on repealing and replacing Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act (ACA). On September 26, 2017, the Senate said that it will not vote on the Graham-Cassidy bill to repeal and replace Obamacare. The sponsors of Graham-Cassidy Bill said that they will try again through the 2019 budget reconciliation process to repeal and replace Obamacare which will only require 50 votes for passage.

If Obamacare will be repealed, the Congressional Budget Office stated that there would be millions of people in the United States that will not have access to health insurance. As of September 2017, three Republicans had opposed the bill, namely: Susan Collins, John McCain and Rand Paul.
