Is it really true that if the side group of Glu is ¾ dissociated, its pH is around 1.523?

This is true. If you are not too familiar with pH, this refers to the scale that is being used to determine the acidity of certain substances. Based on the pH level, you will be able to tell if the item is acidic or alkaline. You will know if the thing is acidic if the number that will be gotten in the pH level is low.

The substance is essential if the name that will be received on the scale is high. If you would like to see a material that is neither acidic or basic, you have to look at the water. This can be placed right in the middle of the scale. There are still ongoing experiments about mixtures that may have basic and acidic substances.
