For those who are not aware, the cardiac notch is something that is only available in the left lung because this is near where the heart is located. Humans only have one heart and it would only need one cardiac notch. The horizontal fissure is located in the middle to the upper lobe of the right lung.
The left lung does not have a horizontal fissure. The oblique fissure is something that is located in both lungs. The superior lobal bronchus is also something that can be found in both lungs. When it comes to lobes, the right lung has three lobes while the left lung has two lobes.
