The best thing about eating chocolate chip cookies is that the chocolate chips do not melt throughout the cookies. It may sound weird, but for the most part the chip stays as a chunk in the cookie. It may melt a little, but it is doesn’t completely liquefy. After studying chocolate chips, it is proven that the chocolate chips do melt in the oven due to the temperature, but they stay the same size and shape as they originally did. The makers of the chocolate chips make the candy so that they can withstand a lot of heat that ovens give.

However, they stay their shape due to being able to withstand heat to an extent as well as being surrounded by dough. If you leave chocolate chips in a hot car, they will melt.
