It is believed by many that when you have had enough to drink, you take on a “drunk personality”. Alcohol doesn’t actually change people’s character, but does tend to make people more extroverted than they normally would be while sober. The alcohol does tend people to exaggerate certain personality traits. For example, some people will become louder talkers, laugh more, or even more flirty while drinking.

These are traits that this person has always had, but just seems to be accentuated while inebriated. As to when people take on their “drunk personality”, it changes between individuals and also with different types and strengths of alcohol.
