He asked to provide a hundred philistine foreskins as a price, in order to get revenge from his enemies. Saul’s servants brought to him some words from David. The words were as followed, “Thus you shall say to David, The king does not desire any dowry except a hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to take vengeance on the king's enemies”.

“Now Saul planned to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines “. When David got to know about these words from his servant, it was David’s great pleasure to get the honor of being the king’s son in law.
