Odysseus and his crew have to make it past the Island of the sirens. Odysseus has already been warned about what the sirens can do with their beautiful and deadly voices so he and his mean plug their ears up with beeswax in order to escape the siren’s spell.
When they get past the sirens they must navigate the straights between the monsters Scylla and Charybdis. Instead of going through the straights they could have gone to the wandering rocks. The wandering rocks were a group of rocks that it was said the sea was merciless between.
