How long did Mrs. Donnelly live at Garland?

Mrs. Donnelly was the lady that Cap went to when his grandmother was taken to the hospital. She made him go to the school there where cap had to suffer a lot of things due to his lack of knowledge. Furthermore, Mrs. Donnelly’s daughter didn’t like that Cap was coming to live with them. Mrs. Donnelly lived at Garland for 6 years.

However, she moved out of the place, because it lacked excitement and as the writer puts it, was built for people in their sixties. However, Cap liked it at Garland because he was undisturbed with his grandmother. Later on, they moved out of the place to another one where Cap could go to school like he wanted.
