Equivalent Resistance is nothing but the total resistance in the system being considered. The equivalent resistance is the overall circuit has. It is the value of an individual resistor in a circuit would have to be in order to have the matching effect as all of the resistors combined in a given circuit.

The quantity of the resistances of the individual in the circuit will be the equivalent resistance or total resistance of that series circuit. The resistance of a series circuit will be the equivalent resistance or total series circuit. The resistance of the series circuit compared to the resistance values of the individual.

100Ω

Resistors with the same resistance value connected in parallel: Rt = Resistance / Number of resistors = 300 / 3 =100
