The Hotel New Hampshire was written by author John Irving. Irving was born as John Wallace Blunt, Jr. He was well known for several works including The Cider House Rules, A Prayer for Owen Meany, and A Widow for One Year. The Hotel New Hampshire was published in 1981.

The novel is the story of a married couple and their 5 children. The couple fondly remembers falling in love while working summers at the same place in the same small town while they were teenagers growing up. Thebook follows the lives and events of the family.

The correct answer to the question is letter B or John Irving. Born John Wallace Blunt, Jr., on March 02, 1942 in Exeter, New Hampshire, he was best known for his works such as The World According to Garp, The Cider House Rules, A Prayer for Owen Meany, and A Widow for One Year.

He also won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay in the year 1999 for writing The Cider House Rules, a film which starred Robey Maguire, Michael Caine, Charlize Theron, Paul Rudd, and Delroy Lindo, to name a few. The Hotel New Hampshire was published in 1981 by E. P. Dutton and covered the story of the Berry family – John, Franny, Frank, Lilly, Egg, Win, and Mary Berry.
