Kate in two years will be 8 because M is 4 now. So two years from now Kate will be twice as old. Not real timeframe or else M would age just as much as Kate so Kate can never be twice as old. So Kate is 6 now plus 4 equaling 10.

T= k+4
but
k= (m*2) +2
if m is 4
k= (4*2)+2
k=10
but T=K+4
T=10+4
=14

Age of Tom(T)=4+k
Age of Marianne(M)=4
Given:
In two years age of Kate will be Twice as old as Marianne.
Twice the age of Mariannein two years=2+2(M)
=2+2(4)
Age of Kate =10
Age of Tom=4+k
=4+10

Set up a simple equation: T = K + 4 K + 2 = 2 * (M + 2) M = 4 Substitute 4 for M. K + 2 = 2 * (4 + 2) K + 2 = 2 * 6 K + 2 = 12 K = 10 Then substitute 10 for K. T = K + 4 T = 10 + 4 T = 14
