Dbri is right. Lookup is the right answer. In Master detail child always inherit the owner of parent. Lookup you can maintain the distinct owner requirment.

Admin, please correct the question's answer.

The answer is LOOKUP.

dbri

It must be look-up, because a detail can have only one master and so there would be no possible DISTINCT Owner.

Please explain clearly why Look Up is correct?

Tom N

A detail is not allowed to have an owner.. --> distinct is not possible also one to many is not sth. valid to choose

daniel_branch

Why is the answer not Lookup? There is no indication in the question that a master-detail relationship is required, and as already stated, One-to-Many is not a valid relationship in Salesforce

BunniesKill

It is not One to Many because that is not a lookup type in Salesforce. Lookup is right because there is nothing stating that Warehouse security is dependent upon Account security.

B. Lookup
When we define relationship in salesforce through custom fields there is no One-to-Many or Parent-Child relationship. It can be either Lookup or Master-Detail relationship. Also, in salesforce Child record of a Master-Detail relationship can't have owner. Here Warehouse is child to Account. As the question says warehouse has distintct owner, the answer should be Lookup

Hi, Why it can't be Lookup or Master Detail. can you explain me

subhabrita

Yes even i am interested in knowing why can't it be loop-up . Loop up supports one to many and already it has a look-up relationship with user

neelesh.dwivedi

Answer must be "B:lookup" as there is no condition why it should be a master details relationship. However it can't be one to many as in salesforce there are only to relationships, master detail and lookup.
