Monitor loads for detention. The driver detention module uses a detention monitor that constantly listens for changes such as arrival or departure messages and position changes from your mobile communications system, and monitors certain time parameters defined on the detention control screen and the driver detention definition screen.

When it detects an arrival message, it evaluates the best match of the stops customer, location and commodity and matches this to a detention definition record. Until a depart message is received or the tractor moves more than five miles from the stops location, it monitors key time parameters established on the detention definition or detention control file. It will send warning messages as free time approaches an end and then charge notices until the tractor leaves the stop. If detention charges are accumulated, it will update the order record with other charges that will be billed to the customer and internally notify you that charges have accrued.
