The type of musical instrument used by flamenco dancers is castanets. These are percussion instruments used in different music such as: Italian, Moorish, Spanish, Swiss and Portuguese music. They are a hand percussion instrument which are made from a pair of concave shells that are joined on one edge by a single string.
Flamenco, as it is known today, is a music known for its fast rhythm and melodies.
