A type of architecture with a Spanish flair to it is the Spanish Colonial Revival. This style began in the early 1900s when an architect named Bertram Goodhue showed the style during an exposition. This style developed through a combination of other styles including Mediterranean Revival and the Mission Revival style. Most of this style became popular along the western coast in the United States, specifically California.

The Kelso Hotel and Depot was created using the Spanish Revival style. This style includes red-tiled roofs and stucco walls on the exterior. On the inside, this style usually has clay tiled floors and terracotta included in the decoration. One of the well-renowned architects of this style is George Washington Smith. The Woodward Condominium also was designed in the Spanish Revival style.
