Architects are known generally speaking as the key designer of a building or house. They discuss the wants of the client for their structure. The architect will then explain any problems or challenges that can’t be done with the client’s ideas. Some of these might include violating building codes. Architects also are responsible for drawing the detailed floor plans.

On the job site, the architect must address any problems that occur during the building process. Therefore, the architect does work with the contractors who are building the structure. However, the architect is responsible for certain aspects of what the contractor does on the job site. The architect would discuss the materials and errors with the structure. Yet, the architect is only responsible for the work on the job site.

The Architect shall consider the needs and stipulation of the Contractor and the effect of his work upon the life and well-being of the public and community as a whole

The phrase the effect of his work upon the life and well-being of the public and community as a whole is a responsibility to the public
