Buckingham Palace is the place where the current king and queen of England live. It also houses their offices. It wasn’t until the 1800s that this palace would be the home to the royal family. This structure has over 800,000 square feet in area. Even with this much space, there are actually other royal residences around the world that are larger. In this palace, there are over 700 rooms.

Over 50 bedrooms are in this home and over 70 bathrooms. A postal service is located in the palace as well as several other forms of entertainment including a theater. The ballroom houses many ceremonies and banquets for other royal people. The palace today sees over 50,000 people come as visitors to the palace for parties and other functions.
