An A-frame house is one that has a triangular roof that is large. As a matter of fact, the roof outlines the entire house. The roof will form a peak at the top and then goes all the way to the ground. This makes the house look like a triangle. These types of houses have benefits and drawbacks.

The pitch of the roof is very steep which allows for rain to instantly travel off of the roof. However, on the inside, the upper floor is limited in space because the walls will be slanted and the top part is significantly small and narrow. Usually, A-frame house may appear that they have about the same amount of square footage, but they may be smaller.
