The marmoset is a monkey that is deemed to be a part of the New World Monkeys. Most of these animals are small in nature already. However, the pygmy marmoset is the smallest. The regular adult marmoset can be about 8 inches in length. Marmosets are hyper and move frequently. Like many other monkeys, they prefer to stay in the tops of the trees while dwelling in a forest. They rarely come down to the floor.

They usually eat plants and bugs. Each marmoset usually lives within a group. It could be small group or a large group. Marmosets have sharp teeth so that they can tear plants that they use for eating. The pygmy marmoset can be found in the northeastern section of South America.
