Cannon-bard theory: stimulus (loss in stock market) => subcortical brain activity => both autonomic arousal (sick to stomach) and conscious feelings (depression, anxiety) schachters two factor: stimulus (loss in stock market) => autonomic arousal (sick to stomach) => appraisal of situation (jeopardizing family welfare) => conscious feeling (depression and anxiety) marking / feedback: (1/2) yes, schachters two-factor theory applies here.
