The Tyrannosaurus Rex was a massive beast to say the least and one of the biggest dinosaurs to have lived, even so there were dinosaurs bigger than the mighty T-Rex. One of those dinosaurs was the Spinosaurus. This dinosaur whose name means ‘spine lizard” lived about 112 to 95 million years ago in what is now North Africa.
The Spinosaurus was somewhere between 41 to 59 feet in length and anywhere from 7 to 23 tons in weight. Its main diet is believed by most scientist to have been fish and scientist believe as well that the Spinosaurus probably hunted both terrestrial and aquatic prey. The Spinosaurus has been compared to the modern day Crocodile.
