Fun fact time! Zebras actually sleep standing up. They often do this in rather large groups; think of it as a slumber party on all four legs, if you will. The large groups allow zebras to sleep while still being able to be aware of danger. This allows those who have been up all night or close to it to get sleep while not leaving them vulnerable to the attacks that other animals might attempt if they say a sleeping zebra.
Zebras, in general, have one stripe the runs from the center of their back to the end of their tail. Even though all zebras have stripes - have you ever seen a picture of a zebra without stripes? - no two individuals will have the same pattern of stripes.
