To answer this question, we have to be really specific as to where the Ring of Fire is located at.The Ring of Fire surrounds the Pacific Ocean and it stretches from New Zealand, Asia, Aleutian Islands of Alaska and western part of North and South America. It run 40,000 kilometers and a horseshoe shaped area wherein a huge volcanic and earthquake activities are recorded.

There have been 452 active and dormant volcanoes around or inside the Pacific Ring of Fire – 75% of which are active volcanoes. Here are some of the following areas where major volcanoes in the Ring of Fire can be found: The Andes which is in South America and where the Ojos del Salado volcano is located, Popocatepetl located near Mexico City, Mt. Saint Helens located in North America and Aleutian Islands located in Alaska.

The Ring of Fire is located in the tip of South America, at Cape Horn. If you got this wrong, you learnt one fact! Congratulations!
