The answer is letter A. Egypt is located in the African continent. Egypt covers 995,450 square kilometers of land area of 6,000 square kilometers of water surface with a total area of 995,450 square kilometers. This makes Egypt the 30th largest nation in the world in terms of total area. Egypt has an estimated population of more than 95 million people or 1.27% of the world’s total population.

Africa, on the other hand, is a continent which is surrounded by water – the Mediterranean Sea in the north, Suez Canal in the northeast and the Indian Ocean in the east and southeast. Aside from Egypt, some of the countries which are also located in Africa are the following: Algeria, Burundi, Cameroon, Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Libya, Madagascar, Morocco, Nigeria, Sao Tome and Principe, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
