Each country has a city that has a large population compared to the other cities. Usually, the capital city has the greatest population, but not always. Some countries have a greater increase of population over time than others. China is a country that has more people than any other country in the world. Of all of the cities in the world, China’s cities have the largest populations. Shanghai is the largest within the city limits.
They have over 24 million people. Beijing has over 21 million people within the city limits. Tokyo and New York City have millions of people as well. People come to these cities usually for jobs and higher education. Usually people don’t move away from these cities as frequently as those who move in.
