The correct answer to this question is False. While most mammals do give birth to live young, there are two that don't. Those are echidnas and the duck-billed platypus. An echidna is an anteater, which is spiny. Eating mainly ants and termites, they evolved between 20 to 50 million years ago.

The duck-billed platypus is semi-aquatic animals. Due to its' unusual appearance, many naturalists believed the animal was a hoax. Before the 20th century, the duck-billed platypus was hunted for their fur. Their protection status led to a decrease in them being killed. Instead of giving birth to live young, these two mammals lay eggs.
