Australia has six states. The states according to the number of population are as follows: New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania. New South Wales’s capital is Sydney and it has a population of more than 7 million people. Victoria’s capital is Melbourne and it has a total population of more than 6 million people.

Queensland’s capital is Brisbane and it has a population of more than 4 million people. Western Australia’s capital is Perth and it has a population of more than 2 million people. South Australia’s capital is Adelaide and it has a population of more than 1 million people. Tasmania’s capital is Hobart and it has a population of more than 500,000 people.
