Arizona is the sixth largest state in the United States in terms of land area which covers 295,254 square kilometers. It is home to one of the seven natural wonders of the world – Grand Canyon. It is a geologically diverse landscape with several rivers and volcanoes, to name a few. Here are some examples of landforms found in Arizona: Grand Canyon, formed over millions of years ago by the violent waters of Colorado River, covers 4,926 square kilometers of land area.

It attracts hundreds of tourists – approximately five million people a year – who want to hike or just take pictures of its scenery. San Francisco Peak with a height of 12,633 feet and has six summits. Although it's name greatly resembles San Francisco, California, San Francisco Peaks can be found in north central Arizona. Mogollan Rim which has an elevation of approximately 7,000 feet – its total area extends from Yavapai County to New Mexico.
