The correct answer to this question is D, All of the Above. States, the United States is apart of the core countries. Others include Japan, Canada, and Europe. Like B states, periphery countries and semi-periphery countries depend on the core countries.

Examples of countries that depend on core countries include South Africa, Panama, Turkey, and Jamaica. C is also correct because core countries do live in a fast world. They have the resources and money to advance steadily. These advancements can include technology, education, and medicines. The countries that depend on them get the short end of the stick and are not as advanced or may take longer to do so.

Core countries are industrialized capitalist countries on which periphery countries and semi-periphery countries depend on, all countries that live in a fast world which include the United States. Periphery countries are countries less developed than semi-periphery countries which include the Afghanistan, Bolivia, Cambodia, Guatemala, Kazakhstan, Panama, and the Philippines. Semi-periphery countries are countries that are industrializing such as Chile, Jamaica, Panama, South Africa, Turkey, and Uruguay.

Core countries control to profit from the majority of the world system and have the ability to exercise control over other countries such as economic, political and military power. Some of the core countries are as follows: Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, United Kingdom and the United States.
