Periphery countries are countries less developed than semi-periphery countries which include the Afghanistan, Bolivia, Cambodia, Guatemala, Kazakhstan, Panama, and the Philippines. Semi-periphery countries are countries that are industrializing such as Chile, Jamaica, Panama, South Africa, Turkey, and Uruguay.
Core countries control to profit from the majority of the world system and have the ability to exercise control over other countries such as economic, political and military power. Some of the core countries are as follows: Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, United Kingdom and the United States.
