Out of all the given choices, the closest answer would be 33 million, ie 67%. However, in a report released by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2016, there are approximately 36,700,000 people living with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in the world. 25,600,000 are living in Africa which amounts to 69% of the total population of people with HIV and/or Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS).

Despite the efforts of multiple health organizations, the number is increasingly growing as each day passes by. There is a common misconception about transmitting HIV such as kissing, hugging, holding hands and sharing utensils, food and water, but HIV can only be transmitted through the exchange of our bodily fluids such as semen and vaginal secretions or sharing of needles.
