The correct answer to this question is B, 2. The included line graph helps us find the answer. The five stages split up the graph and are represented at the top of it. The red line represents the total population. The blue line represents the death rate and the purple line represents the birth rate.

The question asks which demographic has the highest population growth. This eliminates our need to focus on the red line, because it is the total, and the death rate, because death leads to an amount being subtracted from the total. With using the birth rate, the highest amount was in section two, making this the answer.
