Horses are a land mammal that can reach speeds upward of 50 miles per hour. There are three different types of horses: the “hot bloods” are spirited horses with speed and endurance, “cold bloods” that are made for slow and heavy work, and the “warmbloods” which is bred from a cross of cold and hot bloods that are created for riding purposes.

Horses have been domesticated by humans since 4,000 BC to be used for work like mail delivery, gardening work and transportation. The horses’ average life expectancy is between 25 to 30 years and sometimes rarely reaching 40. Horses are still used to this day, but more for recreational purposes.
