Smoking is a bad habit that has progressed over the years as creating a huge health epidemic across the world. When people began smoking in the early 1900s, it was considered cool, but people did not realize at that time that smoking would cause health problems to the individuals who would smoke as well as the others around them. Secondhand smoke hurts people who do not even smoke.

In the United States, some states are known for being more health-conscious than others. Kentucky has become a state known for smoking. Throughout the years, states located in the South would grow crops and at certain times the most profitable crop was tobacco. Tobacco is then used to make cigarettes for smoking.
