While alcohol is often seen as a harmless substance that is great for social events, in young students, it can be extremely damaging. Here are just a few of the possible consequences that a student can experience by using alcohol:

• Inability to obtain driver’s license until age of 18

• Suspension from any sports or extracurricular activities you participate in

• Increased likelihood of becoming addicted to alcohol

• Increased likelihood to try and become addicted to other drugs

These consequences can have lifelong impacts on you and prevent you from having a successful future. Addiction to alcohol and other drugs has killed thousands of young people and continues to take more lives with each passing year. Early exposure to alcohol makes it more likely that this will be your future.
