People are recommended to get 2 1/2 hours of exercise every week if they are planning to do moderate to severe exercise. Those who would need to exercise more rigorously would only need to exercise about an hour every week. There are some people who do not get any exercise at all, probably because they are only in front of their desks in the office. Most health organizations recommend that adults get at least 30 minutes of moderate aerobic activity at least 5 days a week. This comes out to a total of 150 minutes of moderate activity each week; this total number is what really matters, and those minutes can be divided up among the days of the week as you best see fit.
