There are 206 bones in a human body.

However, when we take birth, we consist of 300 bones in our body as babies but after sometimes as we grow older, some of the bones get fused together. The human skeleton consists of axial skeleton and appendicular skeleton. There are 80 bones in axial skeleton and 126 bones in the appendicular skeleton which are further divided.

Bones support and protect our body organs. Apart from this, they also play a vital role in providing support to our body, storing minerals, and producing Red Blood Cells and White Blood Cells.

(A) 206

At birth, humans have 270 bones in their bodies, but the number decreases as many of these bones fuse together during growth, leaving a total of 206. This includes 26 bones in the spine, 25 bones in the chest, 29 bones in the head, 64 bones in the arms, 8 bones in the legs, 52 bones in the feet, and 4 bones in the pelvis.

All of these bones provide important structure and support for the human body. Muscles connect to these bones, allowing the body to move. Bones can be strengthened and supported by a proper diet rich in calcium and other nutrients, and through proper exercise and an active lifestyle.
