Person Dwas a Nazi responsible for killing 500,000 people in one of the concentration camps. At the end of his life he repents and turned for his many sins and accepts Jesus as his personal savior. Will person D get into heaven?
some of you might be shocked by this, however, based on the bible it is true...that person will end up in heaven.
the truth is that none of us deserve to go to heaven. we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of god.
basically as with person a, salvation is not based on works. you might say that ive never killed anyone. actually,
the bible says that if you hate someone its the same as killing him.
there are many examples in the bible, like paul, who basically had stephen and many other apostles killed, who
serves as an example where a killer went to heaven. how about the thief on the cross. this was an evil person
who himself said that he deserved to die, however, jesus himself told him that he will see him in heaven after he
asked him into his life.
the good news is that no matter how bad weve been, we can have the assurance of salvation if we truly turn our
lives over to jesus and accept his sacrifice.
here is what the bible has to say...
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of god, being justified freely by his grace through the redemption
that is in christ jesus romans 3:23-24 (nkjv)
but we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; isaiah 64:6 (nkjv)
for god so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but
have eternal life. for god did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through
him. whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already
because he has not believed in the name of gods one and only son. john 3:16-18 (niv)
