The first rain after a dry spell. When there is a dry spell, the roads can have a built-up of film from the oil, tar, and rubber. This build-up causes grit on the streets, making the paths slippery.

When this occurs, drivers need to be more cautious to prevent accidents and damage to their vehicle. One way a driver can reduce damage to their car and prevent an accident is to slow down. It is always recommended to drive the speed limit, but in these conditions, it is best to operate under the speed limit.
