There are some people who have the condition but do not even realize that they have it until they are adults. Those who are diagnosed with this disease can live for a longer or shorter period of time, depending on the severity of the condition and the type of heart defect that they have.

Not everyone who has this condition will also die from having this condition. There are a lot of other reasons why people may die. Their disease can be a factor, but this is not the only cause. There are now more medications and treatments that are available. While there is no cure, people’s lives can always be prolonged.
