After a live biopsy, the patient should be placed right-side lying with the bed flat. A patient who has gone through a liver biopsy may be getting it because the body’s mobility is already affected. Placing the person lying on his right side will prevent bleeding and will lessen the pressure on the biopsy site.

The other positions that are suggested might cause some issues with the biopsy site and will cause further problems in the long run. A semi-fowler means that the bed will be adjusted to about 30 degrees so that the person will be in about semi-sitting position.

The correct answer is option B. Right side-lying, with the bed flat. This is because illness affectsbody alignment and mobility. Hence, this position is the best for a client after a liver biopsy.

Positioning the patient on his right side with the bed flat will splint the biopsy site and minimize bleeding. The other positions won't do this and may cause more bleeding at the site or internally.
