NASM is the National Academy of Sports Medicine. The Optimum Performance Training model is a system for physical fitness trainings. It has used evidence and science to create this training model. There are five main phases in this program. They are stabilization endurance, strength endurance, hypertrophy, maximal strength and power. Strength endurance training builds muscles.

Stabilization endurance includes correcting the muscle problems. The main achievement for this type of training is to lose fat and weight. Hypertrophy deals with weight training. Maximal strength is to produce extensive muscle mass. Power training involves usually athletes. They usually want to use the most strength in the shortest amount of time. To endure this training, it is imperative to follow a program by a certified trainer at a gym.
