The amount of each charge and the distance between the charges. The two things that the electric force depends on is the distance and amount of each charge.

The electric force is a repulsive interaction. This interaction is between electrons and the nucleus. Research has shown that the electric force between the two objects is proportional.

This proportion is the inverse square of the distance between two of the objects. Along with that, the electric force does not depend on a particle's mass. Instead, it depends on the electric charge.
