In Southern Pakistan, on the right bank of the Indra river, there is a group of mounds and ruins that were covered with something like 30 feet of silt for centuries due to annual flooding. The archaeological find in the Sindh province showed evidence of the Harappan civilization, the earliest known urban culture of the Indian subcontinent, probably at its height around 2,500 BC. The Mohenjo-daro holds a large structure thought to have been a communal and ritual bath.
