S.H.I.E.L.D. is a group of fighters who are found in Marvel Comics. This group was created in the mid -1960s by Stan Lee. It was also created by Jack Kirby. It can be found in the one hundred thirty-fifth comic book. SHIELD stands for Supreme Headquarters, International Espionage and Law-Enforcement Division.
However, it changed years later to Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate. Depending upon the situations involved during the current time, this group changes to how they help. Today, it may be terrorism because that is what the world is experiencing, but it might have been different many years ago.
There are several agents including Maria Hill, Nick Fury, Gabe Jones and Dum Dum Dugan with Nick Fury being the highest ranking agent.
