In Human Resource, you may have heard of the term “corrective action.” It is a way of telling an employee that he or she needs to get better at her or his job based on something that the employee is doing that is not allowed.
It could be that the employee is showing up late several times for work or the employee is doing something unprofessional. By the time the corrective action has been instituted, the bosses have already done other things to try to stop this behavior.
Examples of this in relation to food would be to throw out a salad that should have been refrigerated but wasn’t, continue to cook a hamburger so that it meets the temperature it is supposed to meet as well as rejective a delivery of fish that was not kept cold.
