I know because they are twins

Identical twins do not have identical fingerprints. A baby’s fingerprint, moles, freckles, palm lines etc all depend on how a baby develops in the mother’s womb. These mutations are not genetic. For identical twins, the two babies develop separately in the mother’s womb, so their fingerprints are also formed randomly.
