In the United States, just after Europe and countries in Asia were sending explorers to this country, there were already natives living there. There were different tribes located through the United States. Even when the explorers and settlers were moving into these tribes’ territory, the tribes still fought each other.

The Plains Native Americans were located on the plains. The Woodland Native Americans made longhouses to live in. They were known to exist between 1000 BC and 1000 AD. They were hunter-gathers like many other Native Americans in the other tribes.

This Native American tribe lived in the eastern area of the United States. They were known for making pottery and changing from hunting and gathering to farming on land.

Woodland Indians

Answer (A) Woodland Indians. The Woodland Indians, descendants of the Mississipian Mound Builder cultures, populated most of North America east of the Mississippi River. For the most part, they both farmed and hunted.
