The Victorian Era is a time in history that is known for everyone acting completely morally. It is named after Queen Victoria. It focuses on the family and gender roles of both the woman and man. It also promotes education, literature and the arts.
Sports also became an important part of society by its introduction into the era. Some of these sports included cricket, croquet, riding horses and cycling. Religion included the nonconformist churches as well as agnostics and freethinkers.
Technology increased with the railroads and better health and medicine. High class and culture became popular with many women wanting to be considered in the upper class. This era began in 1837 and it ended when the queen died in 1901.
