The man is known by the company he keeps.

The quote in the question indirectly implies that similar people stay together. The answer, option C also implies the same thing a bit more directly. A man can be judged by the company he keeps and a man attracts a company that is similar to him.

The answer to this is C. The man is known for the company that he keeps. It is evident that you will not be friends with people if you do not have a thing in common. There are obvious differences but there is something about that person that you connect with on a different level.

Of course, there are some friends that are just there for a short period of time but there are also some that will be there for a lifetime. Friendships are also supposed to be work on as it is a relationship. Both people have to try in order to keep the friendship going. When one stops, then that is it. The friendship is also over.
