The correlation coefficient can be defined as the relationship between the two amounts. There are different types of correlation coefficients. These include the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, Intraclass correlation, Rank correlation which also includes the Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient, Kendall tau rank correlation coefficient and the Goodman and Kruskal’s gamma.

The average age of the husband’s ages is 36 and the wife’s average age is 26.5. The median of the husband’s ages is 36.5 and the wife’s median age is 27.5. The mode of the wife’s ages is 19. The range of the husband’s ages is 21 years and the wife’s range for these ages is 19. The coefficient of correlation between the ages of husbands and wives from this set of data is 0.98.
